Tumbleweed is proud to present its production of “The Importance of Wild Country”, an original musical about Olaus and Mardy Murie, their love for one another, and their shared message of conservation.
Loosely adapted from the Muries' own writings, "Wild Country" is a dreamlike musical comedy told through original songs, comedy scenes, improv and dance, featuring original folk songs, and a full cast of youth actors. The story maneuvers through the seasons, unplugged from time, showcasing the coexistence of humans and wildlife, and the beauty found in every corner of our valley.
Conceived and written by Artistic Director, Andrew Munz, with original songs by Molly Moon Thorn, Adrienne Ward, Brock Gleeson, Clay Humphrey, Missy Jo, WillowStar Delia, Pearson Beasley, Susan Jones, and Dillon Hanna, the show is a celebration of local talent and the value of finding inspiration in all aspects of Wild Country.
