Join the cast of the beloved Jackson Hole musical returning to its original home at the Pink Garter Theatre, May 23 - June 14, 2025
directed by Andrew Munz.
Seeking committed actors, singers and dancers of all experience levels (ages 14+) to tell the true story Jackson’s first all-women town council in the 1920’s. This is a full-length, two-act musical. Rehearsals will be fast, fun and focused, taking place Tuesdays-Fridays from 5:30pm - 9:00pm, and Saturdays 1pm to 5pm, beginning April 9 (lead performers may begin rehearsing April 2). All roles are paid.

(m. 40's to 50's)
Rugged, charismatic, and larger-than-life. As the narrator, Nick bridges the past and present, telling the story with humor, warmth, and the sharp wit of a seasoned frontiersman. Looking for a compelling storyteller with a strong stage presence. -
ROSE CRABTREE
(f. mid 20’s - 50’s)
Practical, loyal, and sharp-witted, Rose is the heart of the Crabtree Inn and a trusted leader in the town council. Best friends with Cissy, she balances humor with no-nonsense pragmatism. Must have strong comedic timing and natural authority. Good chemistry with Henry & Cissy. -
CISSY PATTERSON
(mid 20’s - 50’s)
Bold, brilliant, and delightfully unconventional, Cissy is an East Coast socialite who stirs things up in Jackson. A writer and sharp conversationalist, she is fearless in love and life, falling for a cowboy despite society’s expectations. Very forward and flirty, full of charm, confidence, and strong comedic instincts. Good chemistry with Cal & Rose. -
HENRY CRABTREE
(m. mid 30’s - 50’s)
The mayor of Jackson, Henry is good-natured, patient, and proud of his wife’s leadership—though not without occasional grumbling. He carries the weight of past decisions but remains a steady presence. Warmth, humor, gravitas; good chemistry with Rose. -
CAL CARRINGTON
(mid 20’s - 40’s)
A half-Swedish horse wrangler, Cal is independent, stubborn, and deeply connected to the Wyoming landscape. His gruff exterior masks a romantic heart, making his love story with Cissy both fiery and tender. Seeking a handsome actor with a rugged edge, warm singing voice, good physicality. -
STRUTHERS BURT
(m. 30’s - 50’s)
A refined yet outdoorsy intellectual, Struthers is a writer, conservationist, and rancher who helped shape Jackson’s dude ranch culture. Deeply devoted to his wife, Katherine, he walks the line between high society and frontier living. Must carry natural sophistication and passion. -
KATHERINE BURT
(f. late 20’s - 50’s)
Strong, sarcastic but full of quiet wisdom, Katherine is Struthers’ partner in every sense. A woman of both refinement and resilience, she is an anchor to their family and community, but also lets her goofy side come out. -
NAT BURT
(m. 14 - early 20’s)
A young man caught between the traditions of his father’s ranching life and the changing world. He is good-natured, energetic, curious, and eager to carve his own path. Seeking an actor with youthful energy, good movement and sincerity. -
JULIA BURT
(f. 14 - 18)
A young girl, bright and strong-willed, with a deep love for her family. Looking for a young actor with natural presence and emotional depth. Primarily ensemble. -
TOM
(m. 14 - early 20’s)
A young ranch hand and Nat’s closest friend. Full of energy, loyalty, and an adventurous spirit. He’s rough around the edges but has a heart of gold. Needs an actor with charm and natural chemistry with Nat. Primarily ensemble. -
GRACE MILLER
(f. 30’s - 50’s)
Jackson’s first female mayor. Grace is a powerhouse—commanding, diplomatic, and fiercely intelligent. A natural leader, she holds the town together while pushing progress forward. Must have strong authority, commanding stage presence and a strong singing voice. -
GENEVIEVE VAN VLECK
(f. 20’s - 50’s)
The town’s treasurer and a skilled organizer, Genevieve is pragmatic, resourceful, and cool under pressure. She may seem reserved, but her sharp mind and dry humor make her indispensable. -
PEARL WILLIAMS
(f. 20’s - 50’s)
The town marshall, Pearl is tough, fearless, and commands respect. She’s a straight shooter, both literally and figuratively, keeping order in a town not always ready for female leadership. Seeking an actor with strong physicality and presence. -
FAUSTINA HAIGHT
(f. 20’s - 50’s)
The town clerk, Faustina is meticulous, hardworking, and the backbone of the council’s operations. She keeps the books balanced and the meetings running, always ready to “second” a motion. -
MAE DELONEY
(f. 20’s - 50s)
A councilwoman with a big heart and an even bigger laugh, Mae offers a quiet, warm energy that keeps the group together, on top of having a deep love for her town. Mostly singing. -
MA REED
(f. 40’s - 80’s)
A hard-as-nails former innkeeper with a sharp tongue and no patience for nonsense. She’s rough, tough, and absolutely unforgettable. Seeking an actor with a commanding presence and strong comedic bite. -
DICK LEIGH
(m. 40’s - 60’s)
A seasoned outdoorsman, Dick’s quiet strength and deep connection to the land are tinged with tragedy. His family’s loss inspired the naming of Leigh Lake and String Lake, adding an emotional weight to his story. Needs an actor with depth and quiet gravitas. Single-scene role, w/ solo song. Strong vocals. -
JOHN D. ROCKEFELLER JR.
(m. 30’s - 60’s)
A powerful, driven, and highly ambitious financier who saw the untapped potential of the West. His vision for conservation and land acquisition is both admired and controversial. Needs an actor who can exude authority and charm in equal measure. Single-scene role w/ strong dance. -
HORACE ALBRIGHT
(m. 20’s - 50’s)
Idealistic, intelligent, and charismatic, Albright is deeply committed to the National Park Service and conservation efforts. As Yellowstone’s first superintendent, he navigates political tensions with diplomacy and determination. Looking for an actor with warmth, energy, and leadership presence. Single-scene role w/ lead vocals and strong dance.
