An Interactive Installation in the Pink Garter Theatre Lobby
Free.
”SILENCE” is a durational performance piece, inspired by Marina Ambramovic’s “The Artist is Present” performed by Wyoming-based endurance artist Oakley Boycott. Originally mounted in 2019 as a part of “Destiny Manifests” in New York City, this is the first installment of the “SENSE” series, preceding the works “ECHO” and “NOISE”. This performance is also part of a larger durational piece: “737” which will log 737 performance hours of “SILENCE” before 2029.
Boycott will remain seated across from an empty chair in the theatre lobby during TUMBLEFEST hours with no breaks, no talking, no eating, no drinking and limited movement. Attendees are welcome to sit as long as is wanted or as needed.
All performances will be live streamed.
