There are few theaters in the Rocky Mountain West that consistently produce original work, and Tumbleweed is proud to be one of them.

This exclusive event lifts the curtain on upcoming theatrical projects created by local playwrights.

First, a sneak preview of the 2025 - 2026 season, featuring excerpts from upcoming projects.

Then, local playwrights Hugh Reid and Rowan Logan, along with a collection of their friends will present the very first look at the upcoming Tumbleweed musical: “IF THE WALLS COULD TALK”. Currently in development through Tumbleweed’s newly-formed Scene One mentorship program, “If The Walls Could Talk” is a full-length comedy about two best friends who have their relationship tested when casting for the new high school musical doesn’t go exactly as planned. A few scenes will be performed by a full cast and feedback will be collected from the audience.

The night will conclude with the Jackson debut of “TUMBLEWEED: DISPATCHES FROM THE INEQUALITY STATE”, a dramatic and personal true story of Artistic Director Andrew Munz’s journey to becoming an advocate for underrepresented local voices, especially his own. First performed in 2019 as part of “Destiny Manifests” and then again in August 2025 at the 2nd Annual Wyoming Fringe Festival in Casper, this is the first time the show has been performed in his hometown. Often known for his comedy, this intimate one-time performance shows Munz at his most vulnerable and his most honest. Note: there are a few moments of strong language in this performance.
